In the midst of a fight between China and the European Union over the landing of Chinese brands with electric vehicles at outrageously low prices, it lands in Spain a new premium Asian brand: Voyah.
The brand is really not new to Europe, having delivered its first units at the beginning of the year. Likewise, it belongs to the Chinese state automobile manufacturer Dongfeng Motor Corporation, which already markets models in the Old Continent under the DFSK brand.
The first model that it will market in Spain with its premium brand in the coming weeks is its Fully electric large SUV, called Voyah Free. A vehicle 4.9 meters long, 1.95 meters wide and 1.6 meters high. With a wheelbase of 2.96 meters, this SUV offers a trunk capacity of 560 liters and up to 1,320 liters with the seats folded down. The front compartment has a capacity of 72 liters.
Regarding its design, the model looks an elongated hood that enhances the grille and the sharp front LED headlights. The rear lighting signature runs through the entire portal and sides. In addition, it has the name of the brand and model.
Inside, the three retractable and elevating screens of 12.3 inches each that cross the entire dashboard. The control keys are matte black. It has heated and adjustable seats in 12 positions. In addition, it comes standard with an electrochromatic panoramic roof.
In terms of safety, Voyah Free includes up to 20 intelligent driving assistance features, such as active night vision system or 360-degree parking system, cruise control, lane departure control and even front vehicle start alert.
489 HP and more than 500 km of autonomy
The Voyah Free has a propulsion system of two electric motors, a 106 kWh battery and all-wheel drive that offers a power of up to 489 horsepower. The SUV has an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 200 km/h.
With all that, The model has a range of 505 kilometers, according to the WLTP cycle. The brand’s approvals estimate a consumption of 15.5 kWh/100 km in the urban cycle and about 20.2 kWh/100 km in the combined cycle. Charging from 20% to 80% is done in 45 minutes.
Although at the moment there are no confirmed figures, The price of the Voyah Free SUV will exceed 80,000 euros and will arrive in our market in the coming weeks. In addition, we have learned that the brand will expand the range with more economical models in the near future.
