Seat adds a quarter as the Volkswagen Group brand that increases sales the most

Seat and Cupra once again lead the increases in sales of the Volkswagen Group. The companies belonging to the German conglomerate have accumulated four consecutive months of being the brands that have increased their deliveries the most in an interannual rate.

At the end of the first 10 months of the year, Seat and Cupra have sold a total of 430,300 units, 33.9% more compared to the same period of the previous year.

If these figures are compared with those recorded until September 2019, before the pandemic, Seat Cupra sales are still 13.7% lower to those of then.

In October, Seat and Cupra sold a total of 38,500 vehicles, 30.8% more compared to the same month of the previous year.

In this way, there has been no passenger car brand from the German group that has surpassed the growth in global deliveries to Seat Cupra. The only one that has registered a higher increase than the Spanish firms is the Man truck manufacturerwhose sales have grown by 47.5% in the first 10 months of the year, reaching 94,100 units.

VW Group increases global sales by 10.9%

The German automobile giant has closed the first 10 months of the year with a total of 7,481,300 units worldwide, 10.9% more than in the same period of the previous year. Data that is still 16.4% lower than those recorded between January and October 2019.

In the month of October, the Volkswagen Group sold a total of 765,500 vehicles, 10.7% more year-on-year.

By regions, The decrease in sales in China stands out by 2.1%, up to 2,565,900 vehicles sold. In Western Europe, for its part, Volkswagen Group deliveries have grown by 23.4% year-on-year, reaching 2,697,900 units delivered.

In fact, Seat and Cupra deliveries account for 5.7% of sales made by the German automobile consortium between January and October.
